"Noise, noise. Some artists just love to revel in it. Lots of detuned and randomly abused guitars, drums barely holding the fray together, and a vocalist that appears to be very upset at things in general." - Will L. (listen.com)

Frank "Booming" Bouillon and the Unic Boots were formed in 1990 at a time when Fred Gombo and the Sex Socks, Barney Broth and the Virgin Gloves, and Joe Soup and the Bondage Hats went from TOTAL obscurity to PARTIAL obscurity, all competing to be the absolute WORST band in the land.

They are ALL succeeding.

Even so, the Unic Boots bralphed their way into the FECES-ROCK scene with one important characteristic separating them from the other aforementioned CRAP BANDS:

THEY DON'T KNOW THEY'RE SHITTY.

In fact, in 1992 when "Cream of Bile Soup", their first full-length LP, was released, Frank Bouillon said of it, "You can really tell how influenced by Celtic and Folk music we are.  Our guitarist, Hott Wingz, is really into jazz."

Bouillon was also quoted as saying, "We just like to rock.  We enjoy making good music for our many fans to enjoy, and hopefully they will pass our albums on to their children, too."

Things haven't really changed since then.

In 1995, Garbage City Productions attained the manufacturing and distribution rights to their second album, the 1994 release "Love Phlegm", which attempted to push to Unic Boots in new directions, hoping to diversify their fan base while maintaining their raw edge.  GCP hopes to be able to release the Unic Boots first album later in 1999, along with a brand new release from this exciting and original band.

The material for "Love Phlegm", actually recorded in late 1993 was delayed due to the fact that "We got lazy," lead bassist Tom Foolery lamented, and "after our first hit record came out, our record company [Gotcha Sucka Records, who've since folded] said that we sold so many records, we'd never have to make another.  We have a feeling they withheld all our royalties and then moved to Rio or something."  Sure they did.
